Salvation Is Worth Fighting For!The Apostle Paul informs Timothy, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses”
(1 Timothy 6:12). Through these scriptures we understand that we are not fighting against flesh
and blood but against principalities and power, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).
The forces of hell would love to take us down and destroy every ounce of salvation that's embedded in our souls. Nevertheless,
I believe that the salvation we have obtained through the redemptive process of Jesus’ death burial, and grand resurrection
is more precious than any of our prize possessions, and it is worth fighting against the enemy to maintain the gift of salvation
that leads to eternal life. Each day we may be faced with obstacles, stumbling blocks, heartaches, and sufferings that are
designed to drive us from the presence of the Lord. The adversity we face comes from every angle and is destine to make us
curse God, walk away from our salvation in Christ and watch us die a horrible spiritual death. But when I consider the cost,
the shedding of the Lord Jesus' Precious Blood, and the weight of sin that caused Him to sacrifice His life, I am more determine
to fight the evil forces that are formed against me and maintain my place in God' eternity. I pray that every child of God
will consider the cost of salvation and grace that has been given to us to be called sons of God that we might inherit everlasting
life. I believe it is worth fighting every day and every battle that comes our way. We are closer to the day of the Lord's
return since the day we believed. We are too close to turn around and give up or give in to the devices of the enemy. Our
salvation is worth fighting for! Therefore, since we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ, let's keep fighting, keep
winning, and live with great expectation of entering into our heavenly mansion and living with Christ forever and ever! Bishop Everett H. Jefferson, Sr.
